Year 2 visits the Oxford Natural History Museum

On Thursday the 8th, Year 2 visited the Oxford Natural History Museum to support their understanding of history and science. They had a fantastic time looking at the fossils, skeletons, mini-beasts and various other engaging exhibits.

Marcel from Dog Class said “My favourite part was looking at the model of a severed hand, it was brutal!”

Tyeisha from Cat Class stated “I really liked that we could touch the fossils and not just look at them”

The Year 2 teachers would also like to say how proud they are of the children’s behaviour and attitude to learning.

The school even received an email stating how amazing they were. Well done kids!!!

We really enjoyed hosting St Mary and All Saints C of E Primary School today. The children were so engaged with the collections and asked some excellent questions during the introduction and also around the museum. The whole class was really well behaved and we would love to welcome them back anytime. We hope that they enjoyed their trip and discovered lots of new things whilst they were here.
