Kendrick School and/or Reading School 2019 admissions.

The admission tests for Year 7 entry will consist of two papers, each of which assess verbal, numerical and non verbal ability.  Applicants are expected to show competence in skills appropriate to Key Stage 2 English and Mathematics, and to be able to apply these skills creatively.  A familiarisation paper will be available on the schools’ websites from April 2018.

The tests will take place on Saturday 15th September 2018, and parents will be required to register their child online for the test during the summer term from 1st May 2018 with a closing date of no later than midnight on Tuesday 19th June 2018Please note this is earlier than the application process for other secondary schools.  Parents will receive notification of the test results prior to the completion of the Common Application Form.

More detailed information about the arrangements for testing will be available in the Spring Term on the website of both schools and at our respective open events (details via this link).

After registering their child online, parents will be sent details of the test day including a registration card.  In order to verify the identity of the test candidate and to ensure that applicants will only be able to take the test once, we will ask parents to take the registration card to their child’s primary school to confirm that the photograph provided is a true likeness. We will also ask you to verify whether the child receives Pupil Premium or Service Premium or is a Child in Care.  We would be grateful if you could provide a school stamp and a signature to verify the form.  This can be administered by a member of your administration staff.  Thank you for your help in making this a success in previous years and for your continued support for this coming year.

We would be grateful if you could communicate the information via the link below to your Year 5 parents.  It is very important that parents and carers understand the timelines of admissions to our respective schools.
