Pirates seen in school!

Year 2 visits the Oxford Natural History Museum

On Thursday the 8th, Year 2 visited the Oxford Natural History Museum to support their understanding of history and science. They had a fantastic time looking at the fossils, skeletons, mini-beasts and various other engaging exhibits. Year 3 – Science trip

Year 3 set off for the Look Out Discovery Centre in Bracknell to enjoy a Science trip. You may have seen on Twitter that Ladybirds and Caterpillars were at The Look Out Discovery Centre on Tuesday 6th March to learn more about the Topic of Forces and Magnets.  We had a fantastic time with the hands-on science activities on offer and were able to launch a hydrogen rocket and send a huge, hot air balloon skyward as well as investigating

Author John Row visit school for World Book Day

World Book Day 2018

Year 4 visits Buster Ancient Saxon Farm

On Wednesday 10th of January, we went on a school trip to Buster Ancient Farm in the countryside of the South Downs National Park, Hampshire.  We were divided into two teams; the Anglo-Saxons and the Vikings. We learnt about the Anglo-Saxons and the Vikings as this links to our theme in History. St Mary’s football team triumphant!

A great afternoon of football saw St Mary’s win the Reading School Games Football Tournament 2017.  St Mary’s got off to a fantastic start beating Caversham Park 5-0 with goals from Szymon, Tiago and a fantastic hat trick from Zack.
